I purchased my tickets in June for the November concert, spending 600.00. A Madonna fan since the 80's, I thought this might be my final opportunity to see her. In October, I received an email notifying me that the concert time had been shifted from 8:30 to 10:30, which was disappointing because I had commitments the following day and refunds were not an option. Considering reselling my tickets, I discovered they were now valued at only half of their original price. Nevertheless, I opted to attend.
The venue was easily located, with convenient and abundant parking. Nearby, there was a delightful bar/restaurant offering impressive dishes at reasonable prices. We entered the venue swiftly, although our phones had to be secured in locked pouches, our bags inspected, and our bodies patted down.
Upon arrival, the warm, humid atmosphere caused my makeup to melt. With the help of an usher, we found our seats and the concert commenced at 10:48.
The concert itself was absolutely incredible! It felt more like a theatrical production than a typical concert, with Madonna incorporating a political message, staying true to her unpredictable nature. She performed mostly songs from her Madame X album, along with a few of her classic hits that got the audience on their feet. However, the heat and humidity in the room prevented me from fully enjoying the experience. Both my friend and I found ourselves dozing off around 1am due to the late hour and uncomfortable temperature. We weren't alone, as many in the audience were of a similar age and not accustomed to staying up so late. The concert concluded close to 1:30am.
Exiting the venue and retrieving our phones was a quick and easy process. Leaving the parking facility was stress-free.
Do I regret attending? No. Would I repeat the experience? Perhaps, but for a lower cost and an earlier start time.
